  1. Akyaka used to be delightful, but has been ruined by excessive numbers of visitors since I first went to live there in the 1990s. It is very difficult to negotiate the packed streets, and prices have tripled in cafes, hotels, restaurants etc. As an ex-Akyaka resident and business owner it was necessary to leave to keep my sanity.
