Gumuskesen Monument – Monumental Building to See in Milas

Gumuskesen Monument, located in the middle of the Milas district, Gumuskesen is a monumental tomb built in the 2nd century AD. It is made of grayish white marble and has a total height of 8.45m.
The two-story Roman tomb built in the second century, Gumuskesen monument (silver cutting), is believed to have been inspired by the much more famous mausoleum of Halicarnassus, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
