Antalya in October – More than 1 Million Tourists Came
The number of tourists coming to Antalya, one of the pearls of world tourism, by air in 10 months of the year is 12 million 743 thousand 295. A tourist record was broken in Antalya, where 1 million 716 thousand 202 people visited last month.
The tourism activity seen in Antalya, which is the center of attraction for tourists with its sea, sun, sand, historical and cultural structures, ancient cities and natural beauties, delights the stakeholders of the sector.
According to the data of the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the number of tourists visiting the city by air between January 1 and October 31 increased by 48 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 12 million 743 thousand 295.
Record Tourist in 2022
Antalya, where 1 million 599 thousand 353 tourists came in October last year, was visited by 1 million 716 thousand 202 people in the same month of this year. It was stated that this figure is the all-time tourist record for October.
Most Tourists Come From Russia
Russians took the first place among the tourists visiting Antalya. 2 million 826 thousand 314 tourists came to the city from Russia in 10 months.
Russia was followed by Germany with 2 million 670 thousand 834 tourists and England with 1 million 88 thousand 900 tourists.
Other countries that sent the most tourists to the city were Poland, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Israel, Czechia and Denmark, respectively.
